why cant i add space to disk c

Hello there
my little brother has a computer and the problem is that on disk c which is full he has 100 GB of space and on disk d he has 900 gb and this causes many problems so i want to move space from disk d to disk to so disk c will be about 200 or 300 GB ,the problem is that even if i decrease the space on disk D and i have about 300 GB of unallocated disk space i cant add them to disk c,i tried on easeus partition manager and both computer manager and i cant add the disk space from disk d to disk c

You have a 120?GB C drive (an SSD?), and a 1TB D drive. Can't 'merge' that space.

You just need to move some stuff off that C drive. Manage that space a little bit better.
WinDirStat can help visualize what is actually on that drive.

Hi there DubleAX,

In that case, you will need to use some third party software: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/51389-63-good-free-disk-partition-software
I don't really know why the one you've already used is not doing the job.

Your other alternative would be to back up all the data stored on D: (on an external drive let's say) -> delete the volume -> extend C: -> create new D: volume out of the remaining space.

It is always a good idea to back up the crucial data stored on the drive before dealing with partitions.

Instead of trying to mess with the drive space, why don't you just move some data from that C partition?
