Hello,

Had my HP Thimphu motherboard temporarily lifted up while keeping most of cables connected. When mounting it back i realized that one very thin black wire had come off from motherboard. Started to check this things out and then another equal wire right next to it came off also. Got confused that how the h*eck they have this weak solder joints for wires and then I realized that wires had actually been connected to BT-WLAN module and by microcoax connectors. So they were antenna cables I believe. I put them back on but those two cables had no color code or anything so I had no clue which goes to MAIN and which to AUX. I use cable and never use WLAN nor bluetooth but it would be nice to have them working if such need surfaces.

My question is that does it matter which way I put those two wires? I find it hard to believe that it matters since when this thing was put together at factory the operators must have been as confused as I am. those wires are long, have been looped few rounds in the middle and then taped to cabin wall.

If you let the wires just set there, often they will 'hang' in the position that they have been in the whole time;
but if you cant figure it out, it doesn't really matter which one goes where. Its just a dual antenna system.

Thanks for the tip but I had to open the cable tie (it was actually a tape) to get some slack and be able to lift mobo. After that I tied the cable again so situation (tension and such) was kind of different than originally.

Anyway, those two antenna's are identical? I would guess so.
