Hello! I am looking into building my first PC. (Budget). Right now, the total is 470.00, But that is the MAXIMUM I would be willing to spend. (Original budget was 450.00) I have the PcPartPicker.com list here: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/crcrHN

Remember that this is an EXTREME budget build, so if the parts will be able to play games like TF2, CSGO, Arma 3, Dayz, (Possibly Bo3), as well as Unturned, please let me know! I forgot to mention that I like little or no noise, but with the 212 and the s340 i think things will be decent.

I would like to keep the white and red theme with the s340, but i would be willing to go all white parts as well. Thank you so much, and remember to respond as soon as possible if you think this is a good build, as I am planning on ordering the parts on Monday-Wednesday!! Thanks! ;)

Oricepoint on the 860k is just wrong , it was around $70 a week ago.
The 880k is faster, comes with amd's new refined cooler meaning you won't need that evo.

Upped the PSU slightly, got a gtx 950 in there.

Case choice is yours , dropped that DC steam case in in case you liked the looks - go back ti the 340 if you like.
The steam comes with very good cooling, a built-in fan controller & built-in programmable led lighting though.

Omg. Thank you so much. Not only does this build match my budget more, it also makes SO much more sense! You are truly a genius! I think I will go with the s340, but otherwise everything should be what you said. Thank you once again!

It'll be relatively quiet mate .
Bear in mind with the s340 you will absolutely 100% not need those 2 extra case fans.
The s340 comes with 2 nzxt sentry fans prefitted & they are ample for case cooling.

The only argument I would have is that if you are prepared to forego the cosmetic aspects of the build you can actually do a skylake i3 build which performance wise is just plain superior.

Thanks! The only reason why I wanted the sickle fans is because of the red LEDs, and the added airflow. Let me know what you think. :) I also will probably stick with the AMD build, and possibly upgrade later, if that would work.

Honestly I think you're putting looks before performance mate.

The i3 is a much better budget choice IMO.
The upgradability is there to go i5 or i7 in the future.

Don't get me wrong the 880k is a good buy but doesn't compare to the Intel & there Is NO CPU upgrade path there at all for the future.

Consider this
(I will say again that deepcool case has a 200mm intake fan & a 120mm exhaust prefitted - it also has tri-colour adjustable led lighting pre installed)

okay.... No doubt sticking with the s340, i just don't like the bulky look of the Steam castle. Adding to that, it will not fit where i plan to put it anyways, so that is out of the question. Otherwise, if you think this list will be better performance wise, that is really all that matters. So, i think i may stick with the i3, and swap out the case in your build. However, i did notice that the i3 doesn't come with a cpu cooler... Is that a big issue unlike the AMD build that comes with their new cooler?

The stock Intel fans are reasonably good mate, not silent but certainly not as noisy as the old amd ones.

I understand the case choices , cosmetics really don't bother me that much in all honesty personally.

The reason I suggested the i3 is simply because its on the latest Intel socket & has a really great upgrade path for the foreseeable future.

With a 950 its a fairly potent midrange gaming setup.
On arma 3 & dayz especially it performs significantly (10-15fps) better than literally any and chip.

Don't get me wrong the 880k is a very good budget chip & if it were a 880k+gtx 950 vs i3 6100+750ti id take the amd setup for the upgraded graphics .

If you can squeeze the i3 & 950 in budget together though its the best choice by miles.

If your struggling budget wise look on newegg at some of the white diy-pc branded cases , there are some that are very similar to the s340 aesthetically ,& significantly cheaper.

+1 on the diy pc brand cases. I have the blue led one that I got for less than 40 dollars, looks great and was cheap.

okay so i created a new build with the i3 and i think it is decently good... http://pcpartpicker.com/list/hxjVnn i put a Radeon R7 370 2GB in there, but still over budget.. any ideas to get it down? (Besides changing the case that is my last go-to)

Yes mate
For starters ddr4 board & ram (there is a noticeable performance difference)
Stock Intel cooler , dump the evo.
The Intel cooler is honestly fairly quiet - should you find it too noisy you can drop an aftermarket cooler in in the future.
I honestly don't think it will bother you though.

Fine choice with the 370, not a fan of the evga PSU but it will do the job.

aw bro thank u so much! this is what i was looking for!!!! PERFECT! Ill just run through a couple things to make sure it works but otherwise THANK YOU!!! you have been such a help to me! Remind me to send you a pic of the finished build! (Btw keep saying "mate" lol thats awesome dude)

Good stuff , i3 & a 370 is a decent little combo - you'll be happy with performance.

Mate is my local dialect (Midlands/england) for bro/dude/friend - some peeps take exception to it but its that familiar to me I can't help using it without thinking about it ;-)
