CPU cooling needs

I7-6700k (most likely will be running at stock speed)
GTX Geforce 1080
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory

I am building a new rig for CG art and Gaming. The above is what I have figured out so far, and I am wondering what CPU cooler I should go for. I'd like something cheaper than the Noctua NH-D15 preferably, but the Noctua is not out out of the picture. I've heard people talk about the Cryorig-H7.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I run this cooler on my overclocked i5, which probably draws more power than your i7 will at stock speeds, just to give you an idea of how overkill most cooler recommendations are on this forum:

I like Noctua coolers because most other inexpensive (<$50) aftermarket coolers come with terrible fans which are louder than the Intel stock cooler at low speeds. For overclocking an i7, I'd probably get something a bit larger, but even a Cryorig H7 will be overkill.
EDIT: I somehow didn't see that you will be running stock.

You don't need an $80 heatsink to run at stock speeds. A $15 cooler with a 92mm fan and two heatpipes will be plenty. It's only a 91w CPU after all.

You might be better served with a cheaper i7 6700, which includes a cooler, and a less expensive H170 board if you don't intend to overclock. It could save you close to $100 and the performance will be about the same. The "overclocking tax" from Intel is pretty steep these days.

The reason I went with the i7-6700k is if down the road I decide I will be overclocking id have that capability. I guess it was dumb of me to put that I will be going at stock speed because, thinking about it now, most likely down the road I probably will not be.

Alright, thank you. I guess I overestimated just how much heat my setup would produce. I'll find something a bit cheaper, and then I guess if that doesn't work I can always return.
Thanks
