Hi. i just got this new headset. i first tried some music with it and it works perfectly. then i spent couple of hours watching movies with it and every 20 min or so there is that certain word that makes the left earcup sound weird. kinda echoey. I put it into stereo mode using razer synapse and it still happens on that exact moment in the video.
could this just be what the headset is supposed to do? being 7.1 and all? could it be just my OCD? or should i send it back?
any way i can test if the earcup is actually ok or not?

If it does not do it with sound from a game or any music you play while using the headset for such things.
Then it is likely just down to the film you were watching.

It can happen if you have the volume set high in windows it`s self for the video player you are using in windows such as
windows media player or Vlc player.

Or can be because the bass level you have setup is set to high for the headphones.
That will cause buzzing or distortion on a part of the film where the audio or speech is very loud.
So check the software equaliser settings that come with 7.1 headsets, software based.

I used it on my laptop, used different players, same thing. It happens in certain parts of other video files as well.
I also used low windows volume/high player volume and vice versa, same thing. It happens at any volume. It's so consistent it kinda feels intentional
it's driving me mad. I have a couple of days left to return it and that's a BIG hassle
