I wanna buy a 1070 EVGA but its like $700 here in canada will prices go down a bit?

doubtful. there is no reason to drop the price on a card that everyone wants and has no competition really.

it may once amd shows off whatever they have that matches it down the road. but for now it is probably not gonna lower in price. the new 480 may be a good compromise for you when it shows at the end of the month. starts at $200 in the US and should be near gtx 980 levels. not bad
