Can't log in to router's settings.

I can not log in to my router's settings because it will keep telling me that the password is wrong, it is a linksys router and it's password and username are both supposed to be admin by default, i tried resetting the router in case someone had changed the username or the password, but it still wont accept admin as the right ones. Please help.
