Will the i7 6700k post for the first time with 3000mhz ram? Or do i need 2133 mhz ram to boot into bios first?

Hi, i'm building a new computer.

I have i7 6700k along with asus z170 pro gaming with 2x8gb 3000mhz ram.

I couldn't get it to post so i'm wondering if it matters ? I have no 2133 mhz ram to try it so..

I would set the ram frequency to 2133. You can the decrease the speed of your 3000 hz sticks in bios. Either way it should post.
