Cant use guitar in FL Studio

I have a guitar connected to a 1/4 inch to 3.5 mm adapter, and im trying to use it through ASIO, but my problem is that the guitar is not showing up. I've tried plugging it into the green, blue, & pink ports.

So in order to properly hook up your guitar to the pc u need a proper dac. Something like maudio or focusrite and stuff. By plugging in through the 3.5 input of your mobo you would be able to get a pretty weak signal usually full of noise and absolutely no tonal properties (like an amp). Asio now if i am not mistaken is designed to work with the said dac.

On software level, r u certain that you are assigning the correct input to the correct channel in your DAW?
