System Upgrade - Requesting advice on GPU upgrade GTX750 ti?

Hi,
I am struggling to make a decision whether to upgrade my existing build or bite the bullet and buy a new one. (I know, age old question.) Just after some advice as to whether installing a GTX750ti into my old system will allow me to play BF4 competitively at 1920x1080.
Maybe a card more suitable.

System specs :
Core 2 quad Q9550 overclocked to 3.4ghz
Gigabyte GA-EP45T-Extreme motherboard
8GB xmp ddr3 ram corsair
ssd 250GB SanDisk Ultra 2
Wndows 10
Gigabyte GTX280
Antec True Power Quattro 1000W power supply

the 480 would be a good choice. at $200, itll be a VR card, which means itll run anything at 1080 well.

I would go for the newer and faster GTX 950 instead of the GTX 750Ti.
