So the computer starts with the new graphics card in and the loading bar loads fully at the bottom of the screen but then it just gets stuck there. No beeping sounds nothing I press f2 and f12 for the boot options and everything but they just light up and nothing happens. I'll list some stuff that hopefully will help solve this that I've seen other people post to change their settings and if you need a picture of where it freezes I can provide it
(yes this is an xps 8300)
Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 CPU 2.80 GHz
Ram 4gb
Bios mode: Legacy
I made sure to update my motherboard to the latest (it was 3 years outdated) and tried again still nothing is working please help :)
I also downloaded AMD's cleanup utility which deleted everything related to the drivers of my graphics card and it didn't work

Oh... I feel dumb now xD anyways I'll do the change and tell you my results thanks for a quick answer and another dumb question when you said set some system memory to it could you give me an example I'm very afraid of messing around in my bios without knowing what I'm doing

Hello.... set it to max save&exit
What happen is this... you must un-install your drivers and OS configuration to not load them anymore...Before installing the new video card. Windows is loading the AMD driver for your NVIDIA card... CRASH!!!

Plug in the OLD card and doing this is another option... BUT I want to verify your OS is still booting properly with a intel IGT first.

The only way the computer allows me to get into the bios is by having the old card in. With the new card it just stays stuck on the splash screen i cannot enter any menus or go to the boot settings I realized that I provided the wrong information and I apologize

currently the old card is in and it is booted

I'll send you a picture of where it freezes with the new card here is the photo of where it freezes

I cannot get to the bios screen it freezes on that loading screen that I showed you
The graphics card should be pci 2.0 compatible from what I read on the box
as for the last thing how would I find out the intel chipset number? Do you think this could be the problem?

Hello... the intel chipset will have a spec page to identify the communications and standards these parts were made to. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1155 as you can see for socket 'flavors" not very many PCIe3.0 PCIex16 slot choices... it a very good chance yours is NOT.
These are things I look for when designing, upgrading and repairing a system... it's a 50/50 dice roll... and you and I have rolled "Snake Eyes" so far... If someone said it would work... please E-mail or PM that person, for his success stories and Procedure he recommends you try... B /

I imagine that having the "Intel 6 series/c200 series chipset family 6 port SATA AHCI Controller - 1C02" is the problem so it's just not compatible thank you for helping me I'll look into it in the future before buying new cards
