My PS4 stopped working when I was watching anime on crunchyroll... It EXACTLY cut off with a few beeps while the screen went black AFTER my brother turned on the air conditioner in my room. I caught that it looked like my air conditioner was the cause, but I disregarded the fact that it seemed as if it was responsible. It beeps like three times with the blue light. After the final blink the blue light turns off. My PS4 refuses to turn on. Now here's the thing. I fixed it by unplugging the HDMI (Was the only way I'd be able to get it into safe mode), and booting it into safe mode, and then replugging in my HDMI and wire to my controller while then proceeding to restart it. It didn't just magically start working. I attempted this a few times. The last time I tried, I had cleaned out the dust from my ps4 using my vacuum.

Lol Ahaha, yeah. Anyway, I tested to see if it was officially fixed by turning it off again and seeing if it would boot up fine without me having to remove the HDMI and booting it into safe mode again, which it worked out splendidly. My brother continued to watch netflix on the PS4. As soon as the room got hot, you can guess he went to turn the air conditioning back on. Literally as soon as he did, the PS4 CUT off again and is right back to it's previous state. HOW BIZARRE!

Has this ever happened to anyone before? I know most know it as the blue light of death, but my issue seems A LOT different.

If it has, does anyone have any ideas whats going on and how I can fix this again? When I do fix it again, what can I do to prevent my air conditioning from affecting my PS4 again!? I mean they're not even plugged into the same wall. The plugs are across the room from each other!!!!

Edit - It's the air conditioner for sure. After we unplugged the air conditioner and turned the ps4 on, it started just fine.

Edit 2 - Even more odd that everything is back to normal. The air conditioner and the playstation are working together in harmony, absolutely no issues.

Solution
You probably had a power surge or sag when the AC was turned on. As long as you don't keep shutting off power to the thing like that suddenly it will be fine.

The air conditioner and PlayStation are back to working together fine. It's as if the issue never happened! I'm not sure what a sag is, but doesn't a power surge usually involve everything that is plugged into the same outlet? Nothing else was affected at the time besides the playstation, which at the time corresponded to the air conditioner being turned on or off.
