Hi,

I am trying to boot a windows 7 USB stick but when the installer opens, my mouse and keyboard stop working. They are both in USB 2.0 ports and I do not have any PS/2 ports

Solution
the windows 7 install does not have usb 3 drivers, that is why you can't use your usb ports. see if the bios has an option to emulate ps/2 on the usb ports. that's how i got windows 7 to install, then i had to load usb 3 drivers.

if you don't have that option, you will have to slipstream usb 3 drivers into the win 7 installation iso. google/search to see how it's done.

I am on the same page than him, difference is that I wasn't installing windows 7. I've had it for more than 2 years and I just installed Kies 3 and upgraded my USB port drivers and upon installing them it asked me to restart. I did it but now neither keyboard nor mousepad will work. Please help. I was trying to fix my phone and now I also have to fix my laptop. Thank you!
