i just bought a new gaming pc with a pretty good specs.
AMD A8-7650K
Gigabyte GTX970 ITX
Asus a88xm-a motherboard
8gb of ram
500gb and a 1TB hdd
All drivers are up to date

when i got it i downloaded far cry 4 to test its power, but it runs awfully slow with max of 30 fps,
i found a video of someone having the same cpu but with the gtx 960 and it runs it much better with high settings...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb6VNweJPX8

any ideas why and how can i fix this??

Solution

Run 3Dmark and the PassMark benchmarks, what scores do you get? List both the CPU and the Video card scores as well as the combined.
With v-sync enabled, you will get 30 FPS when the real frame rate is between 30 FPS and 60 FPS.
Your CPU is not great. Certainly not worthy of such a good graphics card.

Try disabling v-sync and see what you get.
Use perfmon or alt-tab to task manager to check CPU usage while running the game. If this is near 100%, this is what is limiting the frame rate.

V-sync is disabled and yes,the cpu usage is near the 100%
how can i fix this? (if i can)

Are you sure i can't get the performance like on that one on the video?
i HAVE to buy a new cpu and motherboard?

I'm not watching the video. Was it even for Far Cry 4?
I'm just telling you the limitations of your CPU.

oh, ok then.

For everyone: any other solution?

About the only thing you can do is overclock your chip (if you haven't already), but that's only going to get you max +5 fps. VincentP is correct, your CPU is bottlenecking your card and there's really no option except to upgrade, or reduce the graphics settings in-game. And yes, you would need a new mobo too, since your current one only supports cpus by AMD that are in the same tier as your current cpu. In other words, newer, faster AMD chips don't fit your mobo.

are you sure i have to upgrade those parts?, i can't get the same performance as the one in the video?, if so i will work at the summer vacation and try to get an intel i5-4460 and an intel supporting mobo.

Sorry, I didn't notice that the video guy is using the same CPU that you have. That IS odd. Let's start with some basics...

Go into your Nvidia control panel and verify a few things:

1) Click on Change resolution and confirm that your monitor's refresh rate is set at 60Hz (or whatever its native refresh rate is).
2) Click on Manage 3D settings, select the Global Settings tab, scroll down to Vertical sync and make sure it's off.

Make SURE vsync is off in the game menu
If you have Nvidia inspector and/or Geforce Experience, make sure vsync is off in those as well for your game.
If you use Precision X or Afterburner, make sure the frame limiter isn't set to a low number. A "0" setting means it won't do any limiting at all.
Finally- this may sound dumb- physically check your monitor cable where it is plugged into your rig and make sure it's actually plugged into your graphics card and not the motherboard.

yes, and the system do recognizes the card.
