Hello,

I need help on a build for my friend's first build. The price range should be about 300-400 USD. If its extra 50$ then he wont mind.

The build needs to run any game at medium/high settings at a decent FPS rate. Optimum airflow is needed to prevent overheating in the long run.

-Intel Processor is preferred but if there is an better option, please specify.
-8gb ram
-Decent storage space ie. 1ssd and 1hdd
-need help on GPU option.
-need help on choosing a motherboard

The build's budget includes an OS and 1 Monitor.

ps: try to keep it under budget. Also, the monitor does not need to be in the parts list because he will buy a secondhand one.

Your budget is very small. I can tell you right now, it wont be able to run all games at medium/high settings at a decent FPS rate.

If you were only building the tower, without OS and monitor, then it would be decent.
But as it is, you're looking at a very cheap office PC.
Not really that suitable for gaming.

Anyways, I'll give it a shot. Where are you located? Is it the US?

I'm getting real sick of these "console killer" claims. You're not building a better one for the price of a PS4. An Intel i3 and 2GiB VRAM GPU is inferior to a PS4. That includes the fabled 750Ti vs PS4, where GTX 750Ti "is" and always has been inferior. 1.4 teraflops vs 1.843 teraflops (plus async compute, more VRAM, more teraflops, ROPs, shaders, whatever).

If you want a cheap PC you're not fitting a SSD in there.

My bad. I live in Malaysia. Can you give a list for a tower only build for that price range.

An os and monitor included is impossible at this point. The only way I can make you a "console killer"build is if I use used parts here but with those you never know if they will work or not and you have no warranty. A Console killer build is just not possible at that budget the most you'll get is a amd fx 6300 ( if lucky) and a gtx 750ti and this is just on par with a console. Just save up a bit to the 600$ rang and you'll get a much better computer for the money.

Ok, I have a crap build for you, that doesnt have an OS, and no graphics card as well.
Prices are from ipmart.com.my, which apparently its supposed to be a popular seller for Malaysia.

Total cost: 417 USD.

No you dont get a graphics card, dont even think about it. Sure I could have added something like the GT 730, which wouldnt play any games at medium/high settings, it would be an embarrassment and would unnecessarily add to the cost on this very very limited budget.

Yes I realize a lot of these picks are crap. ipmart.com doesnt have everything. And their prices are....weird to say the least.

You can remove the cooler if you like, to reduce the cost to a little under 400 dollars.

And no, it doesnt kill anything other than FPS in the games that you cant play.
Sorry, but like I said, you wont get anything good with such a small budget.

Nevertheless, this is what I could come up with, for your budget.

P.S. For the people that mentioned the 750ti, its 137 USD on ipmart.
