Right so, I have a 2 terrabyte hard drive that just doesn't cut it any more for my Gaming needs.
It feels extremely sluggish and I just got to the point where I don't even want to power down the pc because of it loading in extremely slow.

Now, i was looking at the Samsung 850 Evo, since the Pro doesn't seem to make much difference for what I'm going to use it for.

But, what I want to know is if it's better to just pick up a cheaper SSD from a different brand for my OS, like a Crucial BX200, 240 which i can currently buy for 50 euros.

And then pick up a Samsung 850 EVO, 500 GB for 150 euros.
Setting me back a total of 200 Euros, but all in all having a 250+500GB storage.
I'm not too comfortable with having a low amount of Gb for my games since I heard that they start getting sluggish when you go over the 80% storage cap.

I use my computer mainly for gaming, and run windows 10. Though i would really want to get a fresh boot as soon as I get my SSD.

I would like to not spend too much on it since I most likely am looking at upgrading my GTX 970 for a RX480 as soon as the benchmarks are out. So if by any means I can lower my cost, it would be really awesome.

Getting a cheap SSD for the OS is a bad idea as cheap SSDs actually have bad seek times (the BX200 can sometimes reach HDD-level seek times), and the better SSDs don't actually perform that much different.

You could instead get a 960GB OCZ Trion 150 and put both OS and more games on it.

Isn't there an alternative I'd be pushing 250 euros if I pick that one up.
Pricings in Europe are extremely unfavorable for some brands.

It's just that I'm trying to set some money aside for a RX480, in hopes that the benchmarks will turn out better than what I currently run with.

From what I've seen around the web, Crucial SSD's are kinda bad. Aside from the obvious choice(samsung 850 or higher) I'd recommend either a kingston or a San Disk.

You'd be paying 250 euros but you get about 25% more capacity. You can always just grab a 240GB Trion 150 for the OS and basic programs and a 480GB for games. Much better than getting a cheapo SSD for the OS, and performance about as good as an 850 Evo for games.

Well yeah, i can probably grab a Trion 150 with 240GB and a Samsung 850 Evo with 500gb which is currently on sale so i'd end up with 210 from what I see.
