Can someone tell me what is going wrong with my system?

This is the case.

I recently upgraded my pc with some new hardware. This hardware includes a new Corsair Value Select 8gb stick, a Gigabyte 2GB GTX 750ti GDDR5(http://www.gigabyte.in/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5245#ov), a cabinet and a very basic non-gaming mouse.

My PC Config is this -
CPU - AMD FX4300 3.8ghz
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2PT Rev 4.1(http://www.gigabyte.in/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4298#ov)
RAM - 1x4gb Corsair ValueSelect 1333MHz, 1x8gb Corsair ValueSelect 1600Mhz
PSU - A local 400w Unit
Graphics Card - Zotac nVidia GeForce GT 630 1GB DDR3 Synergy Edition(my current card)
OS - Win 7 Ultimate Edition 64-bit

So now when I install the new video card(GTX 750Ti) and connect the display monitor to its port, the PC boots up to the BIOS Splash Screen and then the screen goes blank and nothing happens for a long time(i waited for around 15 minutes at that screen). If I try to go into the BIOS Menu or any other menu which the splash screen gives options to, it gets stuck there and nothing happens.
While the new card is running, if i remove the monitor display from card to on-board graphics port, it says - 'Analog, Power saving mode' and the monitor goes into sleep.

But if I remove the card and then connect the display to my on-board graphics then it boots up perfectly.
If I reinsert my older card(GT 630) then again it boots up perfectly.

I have installed the latex BIOS there is.

I am suspecting its the PSU at fault but I am not sure. I showed it to a nearby computer vendor who also repairs PCs & laptops and he said that may be the motherboard doesn’t support the new card and asked me to visit the nearest Gigabyte service centre for further enquiry.

So my question is, What could be wrong? What do you think is causing this?
And which video cards does my motherboard support? (I googled a lot but couldn’t find a precise answer)

Also found out that the PCI express version my motherboard supports is 2.0 but the new card uses 3.0. I have a friend who has the same motherboard and is using a Sapphire HD7500 GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 from past a year without facing any problem.

Thankzz a lot in advance

try this way:
1-when the computer is booting press F8 (if you're using windows 10 hold shift and restart the computer)
2-in the boot options select "Enable Low resolution video"
3-if windows booted up successfully go to device manager
4-select graphic adapters and the disable the integrated graphic adapter
5-then restart the computer
that should be the integrated card being enabled when the new card is not recognized by the windows.

When I put the new card and press any key at the BIOS Splash screen, it just gets stuck there(on the splash screen) until I restart.

Try it without the card , when you disabled the integrated adapter , turn off the computer and put the graphic card in.

Alright. I will do that in sometime. Another thing I noticed just now is that the PCI Express version on my motherboard is 2.0 while the card's version is 3.0. Do you think this can be a cause? I have a friend who has the same config but is running a Sapphire HD 7500 DDR5 PCIE-3.0 and he hasnt faced any problem in the past 1 year.

Yes , they are all backward compatible and will work on PCI 2.
