First of all, I'm a noob, I've never build a pc.
Ok guys, this is my current build.

CPU - Intel Core i5-3470
Motherboard - ASUS P8B75-M LE
Memory - Corsair 2X4gb*
Storage -Seagate HDD ST1000DM003 1TB
Video Card - AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
PSU - CORSAIR CX-M Series CX750M 750W

And this is what I would want to buy.

CPU - Intel Core i5-6600K
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5 ATX LGA1151
Memory - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4
Storage - Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB
Storage - Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Video Card - GeForce GTX 1070
Case - Phanteks Enthoo Pro

Someone said that this is overkill, that I only need to replace the video card, RAM and buy a SSD and a case.

So, what do you think ?

Edit: Wow what a nice community, keep on ignoring

Solution
8 GB is enough RAM. The i5-3470 should be capable. I would replace the GPU with a RX 480 for 1080p gaming and add an SSD if you want. Try it out. If its not enough, use the new parts as a foundation for your new build.

He curently has the i5-3470, he wants a i5-6600k

That CPU is only about 4 years old. 3.2 base frequency, 3.6 turbo. I would give it a try first before replacing it.
