Hi All,

I have just built a new machine today, and appear to have encountered the issue with Dual Channel RAM refusing to work :(

Motherboard: GA-Z170X-Gaming 7
RAM: CMK32GX4M2B3000C15W
CPU: I7-6700K

I am able to get the system to boot to bios, if i use just 1 stick of ram. The moment i put 2 sticks in dual channel mode, i get error code 55, and the system wont boot.

I have tried setting the RAM clock to 2133 mhz manually (so it doesn't auto select), without success.
I have also tried all of the updated BIOS versions on the gigabyte website without success.

Has anyone any experience of resolving this issue, or will I need to return the board?

Thanks in advance for your help

Brett

Hi Alexoiu,

Good Shout.

Turns out Slots 1 and 3 dont work. 2 and 4 Do.

I can have Slot 2,4 or 2 and 4 populated succesfully. But anything in 1 or 3 causes the system to fail.

I guess that means i have 2 faulty slots
