I ended up with a mess when I tried to make my HDD my main drive, how can I revert it/fix it?

When trying to redirect my folders from an SSD to my HDD, I didn't create target folders, and ended up with a mess. Unfortunately I found this thread (http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2024314/redirect-folders-drives-windows-windows.html) too late. Is there a way I can go back and fix this?

Welcome, ZekeCohen6!

If you get the error 'Access Denied' when you try to tamper with the storage relocation, you should probably make sure you Take ownership of the HDD first. Hopefully, this will resolve your issue when redirecting your folders.

Make sure you always keep backups somewhere off-site. If you have messed up the storage relocation too much. I'd suggest you consider performing a clean install of the OS on the SSD and properly configure your storage using this Windows optimization guide.

Good luck! :)

Did you try the reset defaults button on the locations tab of the properties of each library?

If you accidentally made an entire drive your documents, for instance, use the restore defaults button instead of trying to copy the folders manually.

Thank you so much for replying! I have tried that, and it said that access is denied. So, either this thing is run by my angry mother, or I have no idea what is going on.
