I have an old laptop, dead screen and in pretty bad shape but fully functional (all i have to do is plug it into a monitor) which i don't use any more.

It has 320gb of hdd, and win7 professional. I was wondering if there was any way i could reuse this hard drive and OS in a new pc im building; im trying to save as much as i possibly can and if there was some way i could recycle the OS that would save me in excess of £80.
