Hello. So Recently I bought a new headset, and the headset speakers work fine, but I can't get the microphone to work correctly. It only records whatever sounds my pc is making, so if I'm watching a video, listening to music, etc, it will record that and not my voice.
It has two 3.5mm jacks, pink and green. First I tried plugging it on the front of the pc, then on the back, and finally I bought an USB converter for the pink and green plugs to slot into, and it still doesn't work. I also tested the headset on a different pc to see if the microphone was just broken, but everything worked great there. I don't really know what to do except maybe buy an USB headset that doesn't need a converter and see if it works.
