Hey guys, I recently bought an i5-4460 to replace my i3-4330 on my Asus H81M-E motherboard with the LGA 1150 socket. But the monitor has no display and goes standby. The motherboard and CPUs are compatible and i have upgraded the bios to the latest version and I do not know what is wrong.

Please Help me !!!

Greetings! You probably just bumped the GPU during the install. Power the PC off, disconnect everything. Re-seat the GPU and RAM (* may as well since it will be off). Make sure the power and video cables are reconnected. Power it back on.

Also check that the monitor doesn't have an input switch/button. Sometimes hitting this will cause it to chance from auto-detect.

Bear in mind that if your motherboard and PSU aren't strong enough to support an i5-4460 your PC won't boot.

Hope this helped, have a nice day! :D

Did you make sure you have the monitor cord plugged into your GPU and not the motherboard connector?

I've made that mistake more times than I care to admit where I kept forgetting to plug my monitor cable into my video card instead of the mobo
