Thermal Paste on Green Part of CPU / Motherboard

Hello,

I am building my first PC, and I got a bit of thermal paste on the green part right next to my cpu. I used the Cooler Master thermal paste that came with my Hyper 212 Evo, but I am getting Arctic Silver 5 on Monday

I cleaned the actual cpu part with Isophyl Alcohol 91%, but I'm not sure how to clean the green part. Should I use the same method?

Thinking he means the green PCB of the cpu package. Yes clean it off with ISO and let it dry and you should be ok. Just be careful if there are small components on the PCB cause some cpus have them and if broken off you will have a dead cpu.
