I'm thinking of getting a PC with a focus on gaming and have made a list of parts at http://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/3L2P6X
Could you please check it out and let me know if there is anything wrong or anything I should know about the parts i have picked. This is my first time building a PC and would really appreciate any recommendations about any components or advice on the whole process.
My budget is $2000 by the way.
Thanks for any help

I suggest you don't buy the GTX 970. Sorry to say but it would be "dumb" to buy one right now since the upcoming RX 480 4GB starts at USD 200. I encourage you to wait until the new generation of cards are released.

Do you happen know when they'll be released? I'm guessing they're better all around or are they just cheaper?

June 29th. Leaked benchmarks and specs suggest that the RX 480 performs between the R9 390X and GTX 980, often beating the two in games but falling in between in benchmarks. You could also wait for the 1060 if you like. No word on when the 1060 will be released or unveiled though

To be honest, Haswell is still a good buy compared to Skylake. The only benefit I can see with buying Skylake is that you don't have to buy new memory when you decide to upgrade to Zen or Kabylake.
