Unreadable SD Card Recovery

Hi there! I bought a 16gb SanDisk SD Card and I started downloading apps and transferring songs from my surface but after I downloading a few, it started showing "storage space running out" though I still have enough space. So I decided to erase all my data using my phone (Alcatel One Touch Scribe Easy). Idk but maybe that's the reason why my sd card is unreadable. Does not work on my surface also, but it worked on my friend's phone (Samsung S5 or Note not sure) but you can't create folder or transfer files. Please help~

May depend on the details of what you have done so far. Formatting can be problematic.
