Reference or non-reference GTX 1070?

Hi,

I've got a couple of quick questions. First of, would it be smarter to wait for the non-reference GTX 1070's? Because what is the main difference between a non-reference and a reference card? I know that the reference cards are a lot more expensive, but they are already in the stores. So does anyone know how long it will take before the less expensive 1070's are being sold? And would it be a smart choice to wait for the non-reference cards?

Thanks!

Solution
The reason people wait for after-market cards is because of the cooling, they usually come factory OC'ed, their favorite brands releasing their versions, and because later driver support is better. A 1070 right now would still be a viable/good choice, and we probably won't see any after-market cards for at least a couple of months.

Driver support should be identical between reference and aftermarket cards; they use the same drivers.
After-market 1070s are already out, at least on paper; they're just hard to find. But so are the reference cards.

What do you mean, "later drivers"? You mean driver support years down the road? Like I said, they use the same drivers. Driver support will be the same, whether that's next year or 5 years from now.

Edit: ah, do you mean waiting a few months after a new graphics card release for drivers to mature a bit? Well, there won't be any difference between reference and non-reference in that regard, but I see what you mean.
