So it turns out i need replace my power supply before i can upgrade my video card...not so much for power reasons but for cable reasons..(has like one sata cable thats not being used and thats it and i know that wont be powering a 900 series geforce card) So. ive never swapped out a power supply before and before i go and spend money i would like to run this buy some people before i do something wrong.

This is currently whats in my case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA5751V60986&cm_re=logisys_ps480d-_-9SIA5751V60986-_-Product

This is what im looking at replacing it with
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153173

So what i would like to know is just how much work this is going to take to swap out.

Will this even fit as i see the dimensions are slightly different... (very slightly)

And lastly This has all the plugs i need to power what is already in there right? its just the basic stuff currently I really dont know what all the cable identification tags mean, i just know i need the 6x2 pci power cables to get any sort of video card that's better than what i have in there.

If you dont mind providing a link to a resonably priced one with all the proper hookups ill need i would be more than happy to browse a different brand. Im on a slight bidget since the video card is going to be nearly 300 bucks x.x

Oops, clicked the you answered the question button... And i was looking at something like a geforce 970, Im pretty sure 500 or 550 would be more than adequate for power I just know im going to need 6x2 pci cables to power it since pretty much all of them seem to require that after a certain point

What i do know is that Im not SLI/xfire capeable so ill just be running the one card. So that in mind which of the power supplies would you reccomend of the three

Well after doing some research im going to wait for the new set of AMD cards to roll off the line and see if the one even needs power cables.. rumor is the 4gb version will not, if it does, ill probably just grab the 8gb version and just enjoy gaming for a few years before needing to upgrade x.x

Thanks for all your help man.

Smart move.

After even further research, found out the card will be using a single 6 pin pci connector and the 8 gig model will be released at 250$ so i went ahead and picked up the seasonic 520w psu this way if the very worst happens and i fry my computer hooking it up, it wont also kill the new card i get :p
