i have way too many parts, so i'm putting together a home media (movies, music, games, etc) machine. some parts were bought specifically for it, others are just orphans.
this was bought specifically for the HTPC-type build:
A8-7600 is the main CPU
2x4G HyperX 1866 RAM sticks
GA-F2A88XM-D3H board
now, i'll play some light-medium games on here, from the couch, so kind of like how i play by XBOX 360. since i have spare graphics cards, would any of these make the graphics performance better overall, or worse (seeing as how the Kaveri is far newer than these cards)
HD 5870
HD 6870
GTX 470
// for a reality check, my machine that's focused on games will use my old GTX760, though since i'm rebuilding a bunch of stuff i'm not sure which board/CPU it'll get stuff onto (anything from Q6600 to 3570k)
// note, i am NOT buying any new parts, no matter how great the sales are. this is only about reusing what i have to make the best of it
