Alright so I'm looking into building my first gaming PC. I'd like to run 1080p consistently around 50-60fps. The graphics Card I'm looking at is a R9 380 4GB at 990Hz. And the CPU is a AMD FD832EWMHKBOX FX-8320E FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition. Would this setup work for most or all games.

Solution
What kind of games will you play?
strategy games, sims, and mmo depend most on a few fast cores for performance.
FX-8 cores are not fast, and more than 2-3 of them are not helpful.
For faster cores, look to a Intel cpu.

OTOH, if you play fast action shooters, and a R9-390 , or GTX970 class card will play most games well at 1080P.
for them, a FX-8 is ok.
Be certain to use a good 990FX chipset motherboard motherboard for FX-8.
