I have a question about the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. I have a notebook that is already overclocked. I've been told that it was overclocked with the XTU and then the XTU software was deleted off the system. I was also told that If I reinstall the XTU software it will zero out the current overclock settings. My questions are as follows:
1. Is this true that installing the Intel XTU software will zero out the current overclock settings and reset the bios to factory default?
2. If 1 is true, is there any other way for me to identify what the current overclock settings are for the notebook? I know there is some info that I can glean from CPU-Z such as chip type (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3740QM CPU @ 2.70GHz) and overclocking (3.5 GHz although this bounces around btw 3.5 and 1.2) Multiplier (35 and 12).
