Brief:

The HDD is lost in Bios and my system drive(SSD) is ok,I can use the system normally.
It show up occasionally but the files inside can not be open or copy.
HDtune benchmark can not be tested,it said it failed to load the HDD.
Health test result: all ok but one attention:interface crc error count
and error test for 240GB size(not entirely scan) is all green and normal.(Do I need to test the entirely disk for error test? It cost a lot of time)

Solution been used:
Unplugged and plugged the SATA3 cable: not work.

Solution going to use:
Take this disk to another PC,if the disk is still not working and I will buy another one.

Suspect point:
The power supply is aging and not stable.(Power supply: Seasonic S12-430,Graphic: AMD 270x,CPU: i5-3470)
The SATA3 cable is defected.(I do not have a spare one.)

[/listNum]

I have been using this hard disk for almost 3 years, and I added a SSD for system drive months ago,it's working fine.

2016/06/18:
When I was playing game, the game crashed and the hard disk is lost.
I restarted the system some times,it's failed to found in bios.

2016/06/19,
the disk is fine again. I backed up my files and play game, after some mins,it crashed and the disk is lost again.

2016/06/20,
before I took my HDD to another PC to test it,I can not open any files and I run some tests,it is worse than usual.

2016/06/20,
Took it to another PC to test:
The "interface crc error count" is still 1,after I change another PC,including the cable.
The HDD worked normal, nothing bad happened.
I have run some tests, the HDD's life is at 83%,status is good,so I think it's not defect yet.

2016/06/20,
Latest update at night,
I took my HDD to another PC,it worked fine.
I take it back home,I make some changes:
1.use individual power cable to supply the SSD and HDD.
2.use another power cable plug to supply the HDD.
Result: work normal.
My conclusion: the problem is always from the PSU,the PSU is not supplying enough power in one power cable.
I will keep watching.

Thanks for any friend replying this in advance,my English is not very well.

Hi there kerus4,

Sounds like a connection related issue. You just need to attach it to another system with different cables.
I doubt that this is caused by your PSU. Most probably there is something wrong with the cables.

Of course, your drive could have some mechanical flaw as well.

Cheers,
D_Know_WD :)

Hi my friend D_Know_WD,
I have updated some new info.
The HDD works normal after I have gave it a individual power cable,I used to supply two drive in one cable.
I guest this is the PSU problem, not supplying enough power.
Keep you updated.
Kerus.

Hello my friends. I have decided to send back my PSU to fix it.
After the HDD problem temporary solved, the graphic is down again.
I have met this situation before,I need to send back the Seasonic S12Ⅱ-430.
I will not buy and recommend Seasonic PSU to anyone anymore.
I will keep you guys updated after I get my fixed PSU back.
