LAN is not detecting TOSHIBA Sattelite C50

Hi everyone,

Suddenly my laptop is not detecting LAN. Device manager is not showing LAN adapter.
I have run devmgmt.msc. In Network Adapters group there is nothing with label of LAN Network Adapters.

OS is Windows 8.

In Device Manager, it should show Realtek FE xxxx or Realtek GBE xxxx for the LAN device.

If not showing either of those, do you see anything tagged as an unknown device with a question mark?

U r right, there is a component with a label Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller.
By properties, it is working properly.

Unfortunately, LAN still is not working.

So it's not actually a case of your laptop not recognising the LAN adapter as you said in your first post.

Have you disabled WiFi so it doesn't confuse Windows when it tries to connect through ethernet?

Yes, I have tried many times. I have disabled WiFi. And tryed again, restarted, but no result.
LAN cabel is working in different laptop.

I had this problem in my laptop , and solved it by powering off the device , remove the battery for 5 minutes then install drivers (if not installed already)

I agree with zizoux07. Although the LAN driver is obviously already installed (otherwise the device name wouldn't be shown in Device Manager), it wouldn't do any harm to re-install it to see if that fixes the problem.

Hi everyone, and who answered me and thanks for ur attention.
After zizoux07 suggests, I'd tried to remove battery for 5 min. Unfortunately nothing was happened.
In Network Connections window, Lan was not appeared. After some time (exactly I don't know, maybe after 10 days) I've realised that Lan label was appeared in Network window, and after some time it's dissappeared again, and so on.
At the end, I could not understand what the problem it was.
But I thank all members who answered and read this post.
