Like the title says, what is the absolute BEST gaming pc for around $1300 as of now or as of what is coming within the next 2 weeks. This is the build I have made currently, but I'm also not an expert by any means with PC building and I also have never built my own pc yet. With that said, I'm a hardcore gamer who plays the newest demanding games and am looking to own the best possible pc for around my preferred price range. Here it is:

got the same build. i think that's the absolute best you can get.

ps, i wouldn't get 80$ license for windows. You can get them on kinguin for 19$. I would spend the 80 on your build

youtubers like paulhardware actually recommend buying from kinguin. they are just normal OEM Keys so you won't get any support from microsoft but you will have a working key that is activated

Thanks man you actually saved me some money by giving me that information, and I'm aware that OEM shouldn't have any problems especially from kinguin who is a pretty trusted dealer or what not. Also, any suggestions on what kind of 1070 I should look to get when in stock? I hear reference cards aren't the best compared to the others that come out from EVGA, MSI, etc.

Which one exactly? I was personally looking at this one http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-6173-KR or the FTW one above it when the price is released.

I'm aware of the risk and honestly when I do finally purchase it I will probably end up getting it from microsoft for $80 because I personally think kinguin is shady, but for now I'd just like to see in that cart an extra 60 bucks taken off my total :/

Dude get over it. It won't just suddenly gets deactivated and even if it does (let's say after a year) I wouldn't purchase windows 10 for the full price. I'd rather pay for a new license key 20$ again<removed by moderator>. no way im paying that <removed by moderator> 120$

Get over what? Warning someone about a grey market that could bite them in the end? Nope not gonna happen. Also even bringing up piracy is against the forum rules and it was removed it from your post. Just because you are willing to do things in the grey and illegal areas doesn't mean you should be telling others to without letting them know the risks of such activities.

You told them the risks already. I only said what I would do. not what they have to do. it's their decision in the end. I just don't recommend anyone really with a budget to spend 120$ on a License while you can get a license for 15-20$. Yes it's my bad I didn't tell him about the risks. but I don't think the risks are huge really?

For that Best Solution post to stand, it had to be edited to remove the reference to stolen software. Most future posters will probably be more honest.

Most of the people who post here how proud they are about stealing software are the ones who haven't the guts to walk into a store and steal it off the shelf but the Net - that's another matter. They don't realise just how close to their rooftop the investigators can get.

Heil succes met dat!

I never said I'm proud of it. In fact I never said I was pirating. all I said is that I rather crack windows than buying it. which refers to how bad piracy is. (but buying full license for 120-200$ is even worse) so my solution. get a legit OEM Key. you still bought it but cheaper. just like discounts

So... what you're saying is.... its not worth paying for the software that runs everything about your PC, that is updated weekly by some of the best software engineers in the world, that allows you to seamlessly run every game or program you could ever imagine, all with requiring minimal configuration from you, isn't worth the price of 2 AAA games?

Got it.....

No that's not what I'm saying. it's not worth it for someone who is on a budget. if you have the money ofcourse go buy the license from microsoft. but for someone who is on a budget and can use that 120$ extra to add on his gpu I would not recommend him buying the 120$ license from microsoft since it will probably mean that he has to lower his gpu or cpu or whatever.

So... if you are on a budget, then its ok to steal, to make sure you don't blow your budget. Instead of properly budgeting for everything you need to buy/run a PC.

Got it.

No I never said that budget gamers had to go and steal. those OEM keys are legit. just like those steam keys that are getting sold on there. they just sell it cheaper than the official sellers of the keys (in this case microsoft). you aren't stealing if you pay for a license. you only got it a lot cheaper

I take your point and save as much as I can on everything I buy but the mantra of the Net is "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is". If it was a crucial part to repair your expensive PC, I doub't you'd buy a $19 dollar part when the $120 is the far better option.

I've no lover of MS and they know it but a lot of development goes into Windows even though lots of it fails. The cost to us is the price of all the developers who's Intellectual property is violated by the thieves that won't pay for it.

I'm not coming down on you any more than any others who peddle the use of pirated software but we have to make sure that advice given on Tom's is sqeaky clean and that's why we don't allow it on the Forum. We don't remove it but we do point out the proper way of buying software and show the downsides of the illicit stuff.

They are until they are not. As mentioned thousands of folks come through here daily and more than one have been burned by stolen keys bought on one of those sites. We know this because we are Moderators and all over this forum 24/7. You are stealing even if you pay for a license if you bought it from someone who stole it.
