Hello, lads!

I got a weird and unexplainable problem regarding my internet connection.
You see, a few days ago i bought a new desktop pc to replace my old one, wich had problems with the audio parts. But now, the new pc has horrible internet connection (on speedtest.net, i get ~9mbps download and 0.0mbps upload speed). At the beginning a thought the onboard network adapter is faulty, so i installed a network card; still the same. I tried the same cable on the old pc and boom: 89mbps download and 20mbps upload.
However, last night i wanted to watch the football match (Rou - Alb) and work on my pc at the same time, so i moved it in my living room, where it was connected to another internet cable, and guess what ? It worked perfectly, I had 95mbps download and 31 mbps upload. So in other words:
- My pc is not faulty, as it works very well in the living room
- The internet cable in my room is not damaged, as it works fine on the old pc
- My router is not to blame; the other computers and smartphones in my house work without a hitch

I'm out of ideas; my last theory is that something is not compatible, don't know exactly what. So please guys, if you have any ideas, let me know
Thanks.

If it is a new PC, did it come with a lot of unwanted software?
If it did you need to clean it up and get rid of any reporting cookies. Your bandwidth might be in use by software you are unaware of.
