the dimensions of the space inside the case just to insert it is around 6 height and 14 width.

Dell is fairly notorious for using non-standard parts and particularly PSUs. You'll have to get your PSU from Dell. The spec sheet lists two options: 635W or 425W. If you already have the 635W you'll be out of luck.

Don't assume you can adapt a standard PSU to work either. It may well have special connectors and/or internal PSU rails and/or non-standard pinouts on the connectors that need to be connected in a specific manner. They do not publish those specs either as they are considered proprietary intellectual property.

So you suggest that I cant.
Which are the limitations for the upgrade?
The fact is that the psu cant support my system so I need an upgrade.
I purchased the gtx980 4gb windforce since I needed a new graphics card and have to support its needs with a proper PSU.
I gave some information above regarding.

Nearest shop is far and cant carry it since I cant drive.

It's not just a matter of whether or not the physical unit will fit in the case. Dell sometimes also changes pin assignments on the plugs coming from the PSU. PSU "rails" determine how the output power of the PSU is distributed across the various wires coming from the PSU. If this is different from the standard you could kill the machine if you attach a standard configuration PSU to the Dell mobo. You can try it but be aware that you can destroy the motherboard by doing so. This is exactly why I quit buying or recommending Dell many years ago.

So it sounds like it's time for a new machine if you can't do with a graphics card that requires less power.

Well, if it provides full stability to the system why not, it is out of stock on all stores though, I was also recommended for this xFX-TS-Series-550W-Bronze
will I be able to install it in order for it to run properly?
Also, I may want it to make no noise because of the environment I am in right now, the rest of the system is quiet too.

thanks
