After an improper shutdown, my laptop boot ends after BIOS. Going into the BIOS the HDD is visible. It is set to use UEFI secure off. Choosing windows boot manager or the UEFI for the HDD goes to the blank screen with no activity shown on the HD monitor light. I do not have a recovery disk. Cannot boot in legacy from HDD.

Welcome to the TH community, Broadshateme!

I'd advise you to attempt to resolve the issue by resetting BIOS from the settings in the BIOS interaface. If that doesn't help, I'd suggest you to check your computer/motherboard manufacturer's official website and check if your model has any new BIOS versions. You might need to update it, but make sure you follow the mobo/PC manual's step-by-step instructions on the matter.

Hope it helps. :)
