Hi,

I would like to upgrade my graphics card to a gtx 1070, I currently have a corsair power supply which people are saying to actually avoid getting. However I have seen that the new graphics cards don't need as much power. Would it be fine to use with a 1070?

Solution
The corsair CX series in general aren't the best at its own price range. I hooked up my EVGA GTX 1070 founders to an CX500M and it turned on. However i never benchmarked it or tested peformence. In short yes the CX500M will be enought for an gtx 1070 however it an tier 3-4 Power supply and isn't very good quality while the Graphics card is a Tier 1 and has extraordinary quality and peformence.
