I had 8gb of corsair vengeance ram 1600mhz with the timing of 9 9 9 24 in my current mobo gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 rev 3.0. Then today i added 8gb more of ram same brand, same speed. But the timing on the new ram was 11 11 11 30. When i went to my bios my ram went to 1333 mhz from 1600 with all 4 slots occupied. Whenever i tried to change it to 1600 my pc wouldn't get to the windows screen, then I noticed the timings. so I switched the channels to to each set of rams perspective timing Channel A 11 11 11 30, channel B 9 9 9 24 and everything seems to be working flawless @ 1600 mhz. Also ran some intelburn tests ran successfully, any thoughts if this is an ok thing to do?
Mixing Ram timings (thoughts?)
