Yesterday my pc ran out of thermal paste but so did I and only had a chance to change the thermal paste in my gpu and cpu today. I loaded my pc and everything was running fine, then after about 10 minutes ,if even that, one of my fans started running incredibly fast and loud, from around 1300rpm to 1400rpm when they usually run at around 800rpm to 900rpm. Open hardware monitor says that four temps in my pc are running at around 110 - 120 degrees but I think that's just an error as surely something in my pc would have melted by now. I just want to know how to make my fans go back to their normal speed as right now they are very loud and obnoxious

my specs:
cpu: i7 4790
gpu: gtx 750 ti
mobo: asus z97-k

well asin I had none left in my tub and I think the thermal paste in my cpu ran out as it was getting a lot hotter than normal and when I took off the cooling block it had hardly any on there

I'm no expert here, but make sure you have the right amount of thermal paste and that the cpu and the cooler are seated properly. Are those temps under load or while idle? They seem to be a little skewed.
