As the title says...

I had a fresh install of windows 10 i for some unknown reason couldn't boot and had a black screen. Started it into safe mode and found that Windows put in the driver itself. I removed it and was able to start normally. I went to instal the diplay driver and it black screens once installed and tried to restart. Now its stuck on black screen again not sure entirely what to do. I have a XFX radeon r9 200 series

I have the same problem. Figured anything out yet? If I restart the display is fine though. Is yours as well? I know I could fix this if I used a specific catalyst beta driver on windows 8.1. Good luck finding it now.

Apologies, I should've mentioned that this is a second display. I have an HDMI display which boots fine using the graphics card, and a VGA second display which is detected and on (and displays during boot) but remains black after I log in. The HDMI on the other hand works properly. The second VGA display works correctly after I reboot. I dont have this problem on Linux or on the original driver, so methinks its a software problem. I did explicitly disable onboard GFX, but this didnt change much.
