Hello guys.. i have an oldie Gigabyte ga-ep43t-ud3l and i was using 3 GB triple channel G.skill (f3-12800cl9t-3gbnq)1600mhz fine in flex memory mode... Lately i bought my self some 1333mhz Corsair 8gb dual channel.. as i needed more ram due to permanent stuck screens after heavy usage.... and thats when i searched every little piece of info related to beeps and still i cant get my mobo to recognise the new memory, even after the latest BETA 10D bios i flashed...

Apart from that, my CPU is Intel core 2 duo e4500 and its rated at 800mhz maximum but i was overclocking fine until this RAM that wont never allow me to get past POST BIOS
I also have a custom BIOS that allows me to use intel xeon X5460 771socket better... but even then this ram wont work on me... my friend though uses the new ram in his mobo normally...

What's the deal with it...
I got this errors
37 short beeps (some refer to this as unlimited loop_
tried another setup and i got this
23 short beeps with interval every 1 second( maybe they sound a little longer)
tried with each stick individually... in dual channel.. in flex mode with my old rams that are different brand and yet only my old ram is capable to POST my PC

i also checked the ram compatibility for my mobo here http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-ep43t-ud3l.pdf
and i can't see 4gb sticks apart from a samsung model , but could that even be the problem? my mobo sypports up to 16GB as i can see!

Last but not least.. i removed Sata cables just in case and yet this beeps ruined my day
How is it possible for me to install the new ram? i cant clean CMOS because i have DUALBIos.. i removed already the battery, and yet hardware is not recognised... any help? thanks in advance!

I would put the old RAM back in, get into the BIOS, get all of your RAM settings back to defaults (AUTO everything). Save, reboot, then shut down. Put the new RAM in by itself (no old RAM), then try booting.

Let us know what happens when you do that.

Sometimes if you try to mix and match different types of RAM you're going to have incompatibilities.

What's the model number of the new DRAM - am guessing a newer line of DRAM (from 2010/11 or newer) which all use high density memory chips, that aren't compatible with the older 775 socket, need low denisty memory chips on the sticks, look at the GSkill NT series of Value DRAM which have the low density chips ;)

it would be nice if i could just buy new ram again after 2 days... or head to the store and back them up.... i will try to see if this can be done and if i will find so old rams again :/

yes... the DDR3 is at least 2011 and the capacity would be exactly 16gb in quad channel, so my motherboard should just reach the upper limits of 4gb per stick limitation to rich the maximum possible of 16gb... but how can ddr3 change while keeping the same lanes and socket? it my p43 chipset so weak?

i will do everything you said in this order and reply again.... i forgot to boot with new setting at the old ram so probably it will save my day... i just lowered the voltage to 1,5 instead of 1,6 for the g.skill and auto timers... they actually are both 9-9-9-24
but lets see again...

Edit: No it didnt work, it seems DDR3 is too new for my mobo to support it... i will try to modify bios !

^^ This. Most likely. Didn't even think about the low-density vs high-density change over. Stick with the QVL which has been tested and known to work. Or, do a specific search for low density RAM
