Annoying PSU Buzzing.

There's an incredibly annoying noise coming from my computer and I've isolated it to my PSU. It's an EVGA 650GQ. The PSU has an "eco" mode, which I used to turn off the fan and verify the fan was not at fault. It doesn't sound like typical coil whine either. I made sure there isn't anything in my case it could be vibrating against either. It makes the same noise no matter which way it is mounted or even if I'm holding it outside of the case.

The PSU is bottom-mounted in my case with the fan face-down as intake. If I apply slight pressure to the top of the PSU (opposite side of the fan) the noise stops.

I've already requested an RMA with EVGA, but until it's approved, if someone here has a potential solution that will save me time, that would be wonderful.

Solution
the buzzing noise is an electrical component in your PSU that wasn't properly secured or soldered down. you can't fix that without taking it apart and fixing the solder work or applying some silicon glue to hold the noisy part down.

but at the same time it is EXTREMELY unlikely that it will ever cause any failure. this is very common with high end PSUs because they are complicated machines. something somewhere typically doesn't get glued or soldered down all the way and the noise level will depend on how bad the assembly work was botched. it will just annoy the hell out of you. if it bothers you too much, just RMA it.
