New Motherboard, New Install?

Im transplanting parts from an old rig into a new case and decided to change from a mini-itx to a micro-atx. I'm keeping the same CPU, GPU, HDD, and RAM. However, I've seen some conflicting reports about whether or not I will need to reinstall all of my programs (including the OS). Everything I have is stored on a single HDD so this has me a little confused. My current mobo and the new one both have the same chipset and socket, only the new one is just a 'size' larger. I understand I will have to download the new BIOS from the motherboard's website, but a clean reinstall has me unsure. Any help on this matter is appreciated.

Solution
I don't think you would have a problem but do keep any backups.
"Boot into safe mode after installing your new Motherboard (after booting press F8 until you receive the option to do so).
Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep and launch Sysprep.exe.
Select "Enter System Out-of-Box-Experience (OOBE)" and "Reboot," they should be the defaults.
This program erases all non default drivers and allows for you to install drivers without formatting your Windows partition. It will also take you to the screen where you create a user name for your computer, if you type in your current user name it won't even make a new account." as someone said on another thread.

Probably you won't neet to format your drive, but just to be sure keep an external backup or even create a repair tool. Having to format menas that the drive controller is totaly different. Can we get a model of your motherboards and an os version?

So I won't need to reinstall windows and all my stuff? Just run Sysprep.exe and all the drivers should be good to go?

I told you nothing is guaranteed but try this with backups. Sysprep.exe wil delete the drivers of nonexisting hardware so that you can easily download the new motherboard's dirvers.
