(You can read my old post to see what I am relating to) I have had my internet for 6 years. (Yeah I think my parents lived under a rock) Anyways, I have Frontier (DSL). They have always provided me with crap service as with download speeds, ping was fine. All of the sudden I have bad ping, as of August 2015. I honestly don't what it is. (I have a Westell 7500) Thanks for the help, I will try to reply to comments this time. Also, if there are any other providers you know of, please tell me. AND apparently I am suppose to be getting an (internet tower) put up near where I live. I live outide of a small town. (If that helps) Thanks.

DSL technology has its limits, and performance degrades with distance. Since it runs over your phone cable, it depends a lot of the physical qualities of that said cable (and all the connections) up until this cable reaches the ISP' utility box where it goes over fiber.

My first point of contact would be your ISP. Since they provide you with the modem, too, it's quite possible that the modem goes bad. Make sure noone piggybacks on your WiFi network wheen you're running your tests.

If you can loan buy, then return) just a modem which is compatible with your ISP, I would try first that.

I have tried calling them but they pull the same bs, "Look, we are trying to fix this problem as of everyone that lives near you has been complaining about this." LITERALLY no one lives near me, besides for like 6 neighbors. (spread out + only 1 no one in my area has complained, besides for my friend) I normally get good internet in the morning up until 2pm or so. The one thing I want to know how did this all of the sudden this happen?
