Yes your half way there.

If you moved the monitor where it had been on for some time and it was warm.
And then say transported it where the outside air was much cooler you would get condensation.

Or in case where the monitor was sat in a constantly warm room then cooled rapidly.
Or if it has been in contact with a room with a lot of humidity.

There are two polarising sheets placed either in front of the Lcd matrix screen or behind it.
If water or vapour comes in contact with the sheets you see a frosting effect or a rainbow type smudge.
Or blobs where the vapour or water particles are.

You have a choice leave it in a warm room for a few days.
Or open the monitor and dry both of the polarised sheets free from damp or condensation...

Making sure you take note of the orientation of the sheets, and the order they are positioned front and back to the lcd screen matrix Cooldog.

If you put the sheets in the wrong order from back to front, you will loose the back light to illuminate the screen horizontal or vertical when looking at it so they must go back in the correct order and orientation.

i remember it started when i cleaned my lcd monitor with a damp cloth, Could that be it ? some people said to leave it unplugged for a few days,is there a way i can fix this without opening it up, its really annoying. And leaving it in a warm room, does that mean leaving it unplugged for a few days ???
