I bought a new hard drive, and I bought my computer used so there are no other SATA cables for the mother board. Just wondering if I can run out and grab one for a few bucks or I need a whole new mother board. This is the hard drive I got (I didn't order it from here its just the same make and model) https://goo.gl/oaAs31
All I wanted to know, Cheers!

Solution
Yeah if you have a store nearby that sells computer parts, a SATA cable is a pretty standard part. No need for a whole new motherboard over a cable.

Gee, thanks took a lot of weight off my back, I was worried. So would any SATA work with any mobo? ex. SATA III work on any mobo or SATA II etc...

SATA II (3Gb/s) and III (6Gb/s) cables perform basically the same assuming the same build quality. So grab either one really. If your board supports SATA III and you have a choice of II vs III I'd go with III just for the piece of mind but really just get whats available and make life easy.
