Pc Gaming Perfoming Poorly All of a Sudden

My Pc was running great with games getting around 60-70 fps in games like gta on high even flying around no pop ins, etc. then one day after i updated one of my games(rust) it started running poorly and now i can't even run gta at anything decent anymore. BTW no overheating on any component and no performance drop while in game it's just bad from the start.

Specs.
CPU: AMD FX 8350
GPU: GTX 970
RAM: 16GB
PSU: CX750M
Storage: SSD

whoops sorry i misclicked that. My ssd is just for games i move whatever game i'm not using onto my hdd, i'm virus free for a while now and it was about a month before i really noticed the change since i had only played non stressful/poorly optimised games for that period, so i really didn't notice the change. so it's not going to be reset before, all my drivers are up to date except the non important ones, and i really can't recall any updates except rust that had occurred before the incident
