I have a pair of Sennheiser HD280Pros that I have plugged into an Audio Technica AT2020 mic. When the headphones are plugged into any other port they work fine. I pulled the audio jack out a little and I no longer had the static, but the computer sound was very distorted (obviously due to not being plugged in all the way). If any one might have a solution that would be greatly appreciated

Are you plugging it into the rear or the front? If you are using the front plug it into the rear.
