How future proof is my pc ?

Hello , i was just wondering if you could tell me how future proof my new pc is

specs:

Processor : Intel core i5 6500

ram : 16 gb ddr3 (2x 8gb)

GPU : R9 290 vaporx 4gb by sapphire

PSU : Corsair rmx 750w

MOBO : Asrock H110M-DVS/D3

HDD : 1 tb WD blue

I do Gaming in 1080p (but on a 21:9 monitor so the resolution is 2560×1080 at 75hz)

How future proof is your pc? Lol how am I supposed to answer that? It depends entirely on what you do with this pc and what your standards for performance are. I have no idea when you will deem this pc to no longer suit your needs. Its a pretty good gaming pc and should have no problem pushing games along for quite some time, your standards for performance will determine how long I cannot make that assessment for you.

Many gamers/Tech Wizes get more life out've their computer by overclocking. I am assuming you are getting a non K processor.
So thats the only shortfall.

I have a SandyBridge 2600K (2011 Processor) still clocked at 4.5Ghz stock volts.
